From My Heart to Yours

Estoryaheeee!!! hehehe... (This is it!)

***********************************************************

Superlative thoughts surface when the heart’s hit with cupid’s arrow

Why so? I wonder. No on can answer

I doubt. I question. They say no need for reason.

Reasons are void when feelings are in motion.

Heaven knows what I truly feel,

It is simple. Intangible, definitely real!

What more can I say?

Nothing! Wishing we’re on the same way.

Endless is my desire

Time does not require

To love my beloved,

With a love undaunted

Rage may wage

Men may age

Affection will never fade

Even though entrenched with a blade

Amid the challenges of life,

Together we will conquer strife.

Uncertain might life be,

In love, we will set it free.

Looking through the sands of time,

I feel more sublime.

Each day I will always be grateful,

Like a resounding clarion call.

Dancing in the moonlight,

What a wonderful place in site!

Going to the moon and back,

Is easier with love on track.

Take this, from my heart to yours... :-)

Five Loooong Years: Mom, it’s the end of the day!

This piece is dedicated to the good and beautiful girl friends i have... PLEASE READ THIS POEM WITH ALL YOUR FEELINGS!! :-)

One, Two, Three Pack!!!

Just like that, five years crack.

Four, Five, Click!

No more six, Cant handle the trick!

Why oh why, time flies by

All of a sudden we say to someone goodbye.

It may be so Pait!

I don’t think its like igit…paksit!

Five loooongg years is long,

Especially with the ooohhh prolonged.

It was one heck of a roller coaster ride

I went up and down, side by side.

After all, I don’t know what to feel,

Everything seems surreal.

It was fun under ulan,

It was chasing me so I need to dagan.

I gave it my all, so there’s no pagmahay

Now I am free and I am all hayahay

Life is just like that, with all ups and downs

You just have to give it a try, and get yourself a crown.

So now, I went to my mommy

Mom, na unsa man ni?

I asked her all the way

Mom, it’s the end of the day!

Mommy, I don’t know what to do

I’m lost like scoobedoo

Im worried, scared, in what people say,

Mom, it’s the end of the day!

Mommy, I lilly lilly like him

I cannot even seduce him.

I want him forever and today,

Mom, it’s the end of the day!

Mommy, how will I approach?

I need you to really coach

I am so in a hurry,

Mom, it’s the end of the day!

Mommy, I asked him for a talk,

But, I cant seem to talk the walk,

I am so confused really!

Mom, it’s the end of the day!

Mommy, mommy! What to do? What to do?

Yaya is competing with me all the way through

Duh! let her do it baby,

Remember, it’s the end of the day! J

Aboitiz; One of Asia’s Best Managed Companies for 2011

Aboitiz Power Corporation (AP) earned an outstanding recognition by an international financial publication - Eurmoney Magazine, as one of the Best Managed Companies in Asia for 2011.

Euromoney, a monthly periodical on the world's capital markets, requested that analysts at leading banks and research institutes nominate their top companies in each of the Asian countries or sectors they covered, bearing in mind market strength, profitability, growth and potential and quality of management and earning.

Out of the 16 companies that were nominated, Aboitiz Power emerged as top 3 in the Most Convincing and Coherent in the Philippines category.

There were a total of 27 companies from China, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, and the Philippines that made it to the yearly record. Most of the companies were from the telecommunications sector, which makes Aboitiz Power so unique among others in the ranking.

Euromoney’s regional ‘Best Company’ rankings are taken from an assessment of market analysts at premium banking institutions and research institutes around the world who give their views on which companies they think are on top according to their different categories and sectors.

Abotiz Power made a great contribution to its parent company, Aboitiz Equity Venture’s (AEV) bottom line, which in the first and second quarters of 2010 grew by 389 percent to P14.2 billion from P2.9 billion in 2009. This huge achievement was recognized also by the Asiamoney Magazine, which gave AP the Large Cap Corporate of the Year award from the publication respectively.

This recognition shall add to the company's foothold in ascending to the upper flanks of Asia's companies in the near future.

AboitizPower: Energizing People and Communities for A Better Future

Almost two years has passed since AP Renewables, Inc. (APRI), a wholly owned subsidiary of AboitizPower Corp. won the bid for the 747-megawatt (MW) Tiwi-Makban geothermal power complex. Since then, a lot of people have benefited, not only the employees themselves, but also the host communities.

Offering room for growth

The development of APRI’s Tiwi-Makban geothermal power facilities, for the most part, could be credited to its talented workforce that is behind its entire daily procedures. These passionate workers have been distributed all over the country, being a huge part of AboitizPower’s generation group. AboitizPower believes in motivating its employees, enhancing their talents and distinguishing their worth as business partners. With the company’s world-class quality training programs, which are designed to nurture excellent employees; excellent results are also being reaped.

Tiwi-Makban’s remarkable financial contribution to AboitizPower created a strong competitive advantage within the worker industry market in terms of salary and benefits. This has paved the way for engineering-related jobs to have increased average salary packages, goading favorable results for both the workers and the company itself. Since the turnover of the Tiwi and MakBan plants, AboitizPower has consistenly rewarded its employees for their hard work and excellent performance. With this notable achievement comes a great Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

AboitizPower’s commitment to go above and beyond power generation and distribution is evident in the CSR activities that involve its host communities.

Enlightening minds

Aside from the fun and enjoyment Aboitiz Power has offered, they also donated computer equipments, library kits and school desks and chairs to educational institutions in Tiwi, Laguna and Batangas. Of which, two schools, Naga National High School and Tiwi Agro Industrial School were each provided with ten computer units and two printers.

31 Valedictorian and Salutatorian graduates from elementary schools in Tiwi and Makban last year were given High School scholarships for the school year 2010 to 2011. This scholarship will continue and will be expanded to more than double from last year as we launch Aboitiz Power college and vocational/technical scholarships.

New construction, repairs and rewiring of a more than 20 classrooms in both areas, Tiwi and Makban, are underway this year

APRI Corporate Services SVP Juan Alfonso said that, "We are making these donations to help provide these students a suitable learning environment where they could nurture their dreams." Indeed, Aboitiz Power has endowed not only spur of the moment fun and excitement but sustainable education as well.

Nurturing good health

A free visual screening with free eyeglasses for the elementary pupils in both areas was done in order to help those children with visual impairment affecting their learning process. Not only that, APRI considerably provided assistance to 218 children for circumcision in those two areas.

Medical, Dental and Optical missions were held consistently in both areas. APRI has always been an advocate in promoting a healthy way of living, which would create a wonderful community and promising future for the Philippines.

Providing relief operations

Relief operations, which assisted more than 7,000 families in Laguna due to the flooding brought by supertyphoons Ondoy and Pepeng were undertaken by Aboitiz Foundation and APRI. In Albay, AboitizPower was quick to assist in providing mats and rice to the evacuees of the Mayon Volcano eruption of 2010, and the flooding and landslide affected families due to non-stop rains in January of 2011.

The company never gets tired of exerting so much effort to help the communities develop along with them. It is their commitment to share their success not only to those who are part of their work force, but to those who are in need of help as well.

Building good will

In 2010, Christmas outreach programs were held in the Tiwi and MakBan areas for indigent children of the host communities. It was a wonderful first time event for APRI, where kids were treated for lunch, games, gifts, magic show, picture taking with Santa Claus, and a presentation number from the volunteers and selected APRI scholars. This activity was also aimed to foster employee volunteerism and personal social responsibility. Because of its success, this Christmas event will be held every year. It will now be an annual celebration of life and love for the community.

Caring for the environment

As the world's growing energy needs puts increasing stress on the planet's resources, AboitizPower recognizes the need to pursue alternative, cleaner sources of energy to fuel their power plants. Through its Cleanergy brand, which is an energy solution harnessed from the company’s hydroelectric and geothermal generation assets, it hopes to encourage AboitizPower consumers towards a more responsible choice. APRI employees understand that Cleanergy is more than a brand, it's a lifestyle. They support the Aboitiz Group's commitment to plant three million trees by 2015, and has planted thousands of seedlings since 2009.

It has been almost two years since AboitizPower took over the Tiwi-Makban facilities, which contributed deeply to the plants' local areas. Underneath this milestone is a deep-rooted fact that both workers and communities share a passion and an undaunted commitment for sustainable development. AboitizPower is truly not just power generation and distribution but beyond those. It’s all about the people, the community for a better future.

AboitizPower is the holding company for the Aboitiz Group’s investments in power generation, distribution, retail and power services. It is a major producer of Cleanergy, its brand for clean and renewable energy, in the Philippines with several hydroelectric and geothermal assets in its generation portfolio and also has non-renewable power plants located across the country. The company owns distribution utilities that operate in high-growth areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. (For more details, please visit: www.abotizpower.com and www.cleanergy.com.ph.)
